Wordpress And Firepow Integrated
One thing we wanted to achieve with Firepow was that it would be the kind of thing you could be working on in one window, and not have to flick back and forth between hundreds of windows to manage your blogging.
On some level it’s inevitable, but when flicking between Firepow and it’s product your new blog, it won’t be
Part of the management of your blog is done through Firepow, and some, or in fact any elements you want, can be managed through your own WP admin panel also.
I guess Firepow is like an enormous enhancer of the capabilities you have with Wordpress - you don’t lose any of the cool stuff WP has, you just GAIN a mountain of even more powerful tools to add to it.
Below is a preview image of what it will be like to manage your WP blog inside Firepow. Click to enlarge the image.
Whaddya think?

I am looking forward to FirePow with all its great features. The screenshot you have included shows that we will be able to manage multiple blogs using FirePow features. Am I right in thinking so?
It’s looking pretty darn awesome to me so far Andrew. I’m really looking forward to seeing the whole thing put together. Keep us updated.
Cheers
Davin
That for me is an interesting feature, I always find it irritating to flip from one window to another, cool stuff.
Not so sure about your marketing ploy though don’t you think that there is always the danger of some people getting tired of waiting, it seems so long ago now when you first flagged up FirePow.
Me? Well I’ll keep on waiting.
Andrew:
FirePow certainly has a lot of powerful features. One thing I’ve been wondering about is whether FIrePow will allow you to manage your WordPress Blog as a site builder as well? We all know that WordPress pages will allow you to develop a blog that has static pages which when themed properly can actually mimic a static site. The benefit however is that the backend Wordpress infrastructure provides all the powerful features and traffic driving benefits of a normal WordPress blog.

Andrew it sounds interesting but in XP if you open two or more sites/pages you can click between them!
We are al saving our pennies for this but we don’t know just how many pennies to save. As you are so close to lift off I think you should give us an indication of just what this ride is going to cost.

Looks cool, but will it be WP 2.5 when it’s released? Some of the newest plugins I’m using will only work with 2.5+
Walt,
What plugins do you have that only work with 2.5?
We intentionally didn’t upgrade to 2.5 yet for reasons related to its security and usability - plus I personally don’t like it so much yet.
That info would be helpful if you have it
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
So far so good but its been a long time coming.
One thing I am not keen on doing is to pay a monthly membership.
Is this going to be an ongoing pay service or just a one time price.
It seems that all the big time marketers have moved over to a paying service to bring in recurring income -
Please let us know as soon as you can with the pricing and the release
Thanks
Hamant
Hi Andrew,
What’s the difference between this and neg?
I have purchased NEG and you mentioned you would upgrade it for life. Now that you have created another blogging software, does it mean that you are not developing/ putting effort into NEG any more?
thanks
Roy
I’m not sure what this sentence means could you rewrite it for clarity?:
“On some level it’s inevitable, but when flicking between Firepow and it’s product your new blog, it won’t be :)”
I am really looking forward to the launch of this package and I would like to talk to you about a major online radio promotion for the package.
Andrew:
Everyone has been very patient and we all appreciate that it is only going to be a couple of weeks before getting our hands on the program BUT the question that appears several time is - Subscription site or one time payment?
The States is entering a recession and with people out of work and taking lower paying jobs, just to survive, a lot of the subscription service are going to go down the tube. Better for everyone to make it a one shot deal. You can be sure of getting your money and your adoring fans, who have already purchased many things from you previously, won’t be stuck with trying to pay the rent and buy food AND make subscription payments.
There’s my dime for today.
To be honest Andrew, if your logo is taking up half the page, how are going to get your tools in?
If and when I buy your software, I don’t need to be blatantly reminded of the product’s name every time I use it. Make it smaller and put more emphasis on what the tools can do for the user. Keep the flashy header for ads and the website.
Other then that, I am looking forward to seeing if you really CAN revolutionise the blogging world.
Michael
PS: On another note, I use 2.5.1 and am very happy with it. It’s much easier to use and keep track off.
Michael
I’m in your loop, too. Trying to sign onto the Prelaunch contact list, but instead it throws me back the signing up for… I hope this gets me where I need to be. . Bugs. Bugs. Bugs. Please keep working on those before release. Thanks,
Linda
Linda,
Yes if you’re reading this blog I’m sure you’ll be in the right spot to keep getting info about Firepow.
Andrew
Hey Michael,
Perhaps the size of the logo is misleading in that image - I don’t think it takes up that much room in the actual software.
It’ll make sense when you see it live
As for Wordpress 2.5, as I said above, you won’t lose anything. We held back for a few reasons, one of them being many plugins aren’t yet available for 2.5, and also because another new version is coming soon as I understand. We will be upgrading the version of WP it uses in future, but for now, 2.3.3 was the best fit for our purposes.
Lee, I’ll make a post about this.
Andrew
As for clarification regarding NEG. I will be continuing to support NEG, but I will be closing it to new members and taking it off the market, and I will be offering a discounted membership to Firepow for existing NEG customers. Obviously I’ll be encouraging all members to upgrade to Firepow, for no other reason than it’s a much much much better software.
Hope that helps,
Andrew
