I thought I’d tell you about a little plugin we crafted that has a terribly simple yet profound benefit.

I hadn’t in my own blogging come across any plugin that could help you manage the h1 and h2 tags for each post or page that you create in wordpress…

Furthermore, wordpress would always seem to wrap the h1 and h2 tags around all kinds of strange pieces of your text, in a seemingly random fashion.

So one of the plugins we decided to create is one that allows you to manually set your h1 and h2 tags for every post that you create and the script will replace the stupid random wordpress positioning of h1 and h2 with your new entered ones.

What does this mean?

Better search engine optimization of every post on your blog, better SE rankings, and more traffic.

One feature of Firepow that I personally am most excited about is this…

I wanted to incorporate into the program, a tool that would help users generate relevant high PR backlinks to their sites.

As you know, getting links like this can be particularly difficult, and can often cost big money.

At the same time, a couple of targetted high PR backlinks, particularly from the anchor text of your main keyword can do wonders for your search engine rankings.

What I’ve included in the Firepow program is access to our own Blog Network.

This basically gives the user access to a control panel from where they can select relevant sites from a list of sites in the network, and submit a piece of content (with links to their own site) to those sites as though they were their own.

The sites in the network will be targetted to a bunch of themes, for example, technology, health, pets, marketing, and so on - so the user can choose the sites most relevant to their niche, and add the piece of content in order to get a link from that site.

The sites in the network will only allow unique content so as to maintain a high quality and keep the integrity of the link you’ll be able to obtain.

We’ll also be adding new sites to the network every month so every month there’s a chance for you to get new backlinks to your site.

This will also allow your sites to obtain great search engine rankings quickly because of the immediate spider activity and incoming link activity they will receive (but there will be a number of features to help with that )

The other thing is that quite often when you’re trying to rank for uncompetitive niche terms, it only takes a couple of good PR links to push you onto the front page of listings. The Firepow Blog Network will provide the perfect solution to that problem

As I mentioned in a previous post, one of my personal favourite features of Firepow will be the WP theme generator we’ve created.

We all know one of the hardest parts of using wordpress is getting everything to look right - unless you’re into PHP or CSS, making your theme look the way you want it is a bit of a pain.

With the wordpress theme generator, you should be able to get your theme looking just how you want it.

Note in the second image how I’m pointing out the ability to add Sidebar widgets when making your theme.

This feature will also be available for the header, so you can create widgets under your header like in the firepow blog here and easily add opt in forms, Adsense, images or whatever.

You know how for many plugins, you have to insert little pieces of code in the right places, like to have a sphinnit icon come up, or PRINT THIS button below your post?

The themes you create will have these pieces of code auto built in for all the plugins included in Firepow so you don’t have to mess around with code if you use a theme you’ve made with this program.

Also, we will have custom themes, designed with the Generator, incorporating the pieces of code above for you to use, so again, you’ll be ready to go with a blazin hot new theme, coded up and ready to roll.

The dramas of doing business online..

Last week we moved this blog over to our new server in preparation for the launch and a few other things and it seems we’ve created some problems with, of all things, just ONE post…
